  • Dr. Eryn Comeau

    General Dentist

    Dr. Eryn Comeau is a board-certified Doctor of Dental Surgery that practices general dentistry. Dr. Comeau received her Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree with honors and distinction from the University of Alberta in 2008 and her Dental degree from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles) in 2012. Dr. Comeau enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in dental surgery and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Comeau has completed the level 1 training in aesthetic and therapeutic Botox.

    Dr. Comeau enjoys working with her patients to identify and develop the treatment plan that best suits the patient's needs and desires. Dr. Comeau employs the most advanced techniques to ensure minimal discomfort during each procedure, patient comfort is a top priority.

    Dr. Comeau was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and is incredibly honored to serve her community. Dr. Comeau enjoys working alongside her father (Dr. Lydell Wenzel), as well as her other colleagues. She is proud to call Medicine Hat her home and enjoys spending time with her husband Dr. Ryan Comeau (DC, Kinetic Centre), and daughters Celine and Layla.

  • Dr. J.P. Gallimore

    General Dentist

    Dr. Gallimore is a general practitioner who has special interests in aesthetics and sleep breathing disorders (eg. sleep apnea). He understands that one of the most rewarding experiences in dentistry is improving patient’s self-esteem and quality of life.

    Dr. Gallimore is the past chairman for the Medicine Hat Combative Sports Commission, a position he held for 9 years, whereby they regulate professional combative sports in Medicine Hat and Amateur MMA. He is a member of the World Boxing Council and currently judges both boxing and MMA.

    With the WBC, Dr. Gallimore was able to meet current and ex champs such as Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes, Sugar Ray Lenard, Ken Norton, Tony DeMarco, Oscar De LaHoya, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Evander Holyfield, Ricky Hatton, Freddie Roach, Tommy “Hitman” Hearns. Our goal is to bring honesty and integrity to the professional combative sports.

  • Dr. LeAnn Wasylyshen

    General Dentist

    LeAnn traveled to Australia to complete her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Sydney.

    She loved her time abroad, enjoying the hot sun, sandy beaches, Aussie lingo, and flat whites. Because of her Alberta roots, she made the decision to return to her home province to serve the people of Medicine Hat at River Dental as a general practitioner.

    LeAnn proudly followed her father and grandfather into the dental profession. Besides involving precise techniques dentistry appealed to her artistic side. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, board games, painting, getting involved in her community, and time with friends and family. LeAnn looks forward to making a positive impact on her patient's smiles and oral health.

  • Dr. Lydell Wenzel

    General Dentist

    Upon graduation, Dr. Wenzel joined River Dental as an associate and general practitioner and a few years later became a partner. Early in his professional career, Dr. Wenzel had a special interest in orthodontics.

    General dentistry remails his passion including all fields of the profession including aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry, crowns and white fillings, root canals, implants, and wisdom teeth removal. Many procedures will involve electric oral sedation. Experienced general dentistry gives patients options in their treatment decisions with referrals only when necessary.

    Dr. Wenzel met his wife Roberta in Saskatoon. They have two grown children. Their daughter Dr. Eryn Comeau is a dentist at River Dental and her husband Dr. Ryan Comeau is the owner of the Chiropractic clinic called the "Kinetic Centre". Ryan and Eryn have two daughters. Lydell and Roberta's son Dr. Michael, also a dentist, is married to Natalia and they have a son.

    Dr. Wenzel has diversified interests outside the dental office. Golf has always been a "love to do" activity and Dr. Wenzel loves pursuing the details of the game. Other interests include tennis, biking, and spending time with his family on family vacations.

  • Dr. Nick Douvis

    General Dentist

    Medicine Hat Dentist, Dr. Douvis was born in Medicine Hat and raised both in town and on an acreage just south of Dunmore. Together with his wife Voula, their daughter Christina, and their son Spiro, they have since taken up residence in the city. He is currently into his 26th year at River Dental and his 24th year as a partner. While growing up, Dr. Douvis played all sports but had a special interest in hockey which he still shares today. Although he does not play as much as before, he has shifted most of his focus to coaching. He has coached Timbits, Novice, Atom A and B, PeeWee City League & AA, Bantam City and AAA, Midget City League & Girls AA, & Junior B. In total, Dr. Douvis has coached for over 25 years both in Edmonton & Medicine Hat.

    When not spending time with his two children, Dr. Douvis enjoys volunteering some of his free time with groups such as the United Way. He also served in the past on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement for 7 years and on the Medicine Hat Adult Rec Hockey Board for 5 years. He presently serves on the Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Board. He has been a guest speaker at Medicine Hat Minor Hockey awards banquets and also at the Medicine Hat College convocation ceremonies. With his partners, Dr. Douvis serves the Medicine Hat Tigers with all of their dental reconstruction needs.

    Since joining the clinic, Dr. Douvis and his team have committed themselves to uphold the high quality of care that this clinic has offered since it first opened its doors almost 40 years ago. Dr. Douvis has invested over 2000 hours into continuing education to date. Applying this continuing education, Dr. Douvis’s practice has expanded his services to include Orthodontics, Dental Implants, TMJ Splints, Sleep Apnea screening and appliances, Same-Day Crowns, and Smile Makeovers.

    With his exceptional team members, Dr. Douvis has maintained a focus for his patients on comprehensive dental care. With more than 25 years behind them and many more in the future, Dr. Douvis and his team would like to share their appreciation for the other great people who work at River Dental. They dedicate a great portion of their day to providing you with the highest quality service possible.   • Dr. Brett Olsen

    General Dentist

    Dr. Olsen's passion for dentistry began at an early age. Growing up in Cardston Alberta, he admired his grandfather and father, both of whom were dentists. After serving a mission for his church, Dr. Olsen graduated as a dental hygienist and worked in the profession for seven years. However, he always dreamed of becoming a dentist like his family members.

    When the opportunity arose to study abroad at James Cook University in Cairns, Australia, Dr. Olsen jumped at the chance to pursue his dream while enjoying the warm climate and stunning beaches. This experience was a wonderful learning and growing opportunity for him and his family.

    Today, Dr. Olsen is a dedicated dentist with a genuine passion for providing quality care to his patients. He believes in the importance of continuing education to ensure that his patients receive the best quality of care and up-to-date information. Dr. Olsen's areas of expertise include root canal therapy, crowns and bridges, extractions, dentures, and restorative work.

    When he's not practicing dentistry, Dr. Olsen enjoys playing golf, pickleball, and basketball. He also enjoys spending time volunteering at his church and supporting his children in their various activities. Dr. Olsen's love for dentistry and commitment to his patients are a true testament to his character and dedication to the field.
